V.E. Schwab (also known as Victoria Schwab when she writes young adult novels) is an American novelist who primarily writes fantasy fiction series with the occasional stand-alone novel. At age 24 she published her debut book – The Near Witch (2011) – and has written 19 additional novels since then. Her lyrical prose and creative worlds join forces with the magic she suffuses into her stories, generating strong characters readers root for and aspire to emulate in their own lives.
